Your role and responsibilities
As a Technical Content Professional, you will create, develop, curate, and analyze technical content for digital self-service products. This includes technical documentation, UX content, and embedded assistance delivered in various formats. You will advocate for users during the engineering and design processes, ensuring content is easy to find, useful, and current. You will actively embed AI into our content workflows and our user experiences.
Technical Content Professionals specialize in technical writing and product documentation, and may also demonstrate expertise in UX content, UI writing, embedded assistance, multimedia production, visual design, instructional design, and digital learning. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers, to drive a cohesive end-to-end content experience that moves clients through their product journey. Attention to detail, insatiable curiosity, and a willingness to learn will be critical as you work in this rapidly evolving space in the industry.
Required technical and professional expertise
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Able to work independently and take initiative, as well as work collaboratively
Ability to Design, develop, edit, and produce accurate and effective technical documentation
Preferred technical and professional experience
Ability to use and contribute to shared source repositories such as GitHub
Experience with XML or DITA tagging languages
Understanding of IBM Design Thinking practices, DevOps and a variety of software engineering concepts
