IBM is looking for a curious and driven New Professional Data Analyst to join our team supporting Supply Chain Manufacturing and Fulfillment Operations. This is an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to grow their skills in data analytics, software development, and emerging technologies while contributing to real-world business outcomes.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, analysts, and operations experts to help optimize and transform IBM’s global supply chain. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge tools and platforms, with a strong emphasis on learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Your Impact
• Support data-driven decision-making by analyzing operational data and generating insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and systems.
• Assist in building dashboards and reports using tools like Cognos BI and SPSS Modeler.
• Learn and contribute to front-end development using React and modern web technologies.
• Explore and support the integration of APIs (e.g., Slack, Box) to enhance workflow automation.
• Participate in projects involving Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Gain exposure to containerized environments, virtual machines, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Help ensure data and systems meet ITSS compliance standards.

• Backend development fundamentals using Node.js, Java, and PHP.
• Best practices in data governance, compliance, and secure system design.
• How advanced analytics and AI are transforming supply chain operations.

Required technical and professional expertise
* Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data and technology.
* Basic understanding of programming languages such as Node.js, Java, or PHP.
* Familiarity with databases like DB2, PostgreSQL, or SQL.
* Exposure to front-end development concepts, especially using React.
* Interest in business intelligence tools such as Cognos BI and SPSS Modeler.
* Willingness to learn about container development, virtual machines, and cloud infrastructure.
* Curiosity about emerging technologies including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Industry 4.0.
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Eagerness to grow professionally through mentorship and hands-on experience.
Preferred technical and professional experience
A recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Passionate about data, technology, and solving real-world problems. Eager to learn and grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Familiar with or interested in programming, databases, and analytics tools. A strong communicator and team player.
