    Sr. Business Continuity Planner

     

    The Sr. Business Continuity Planner develops business continuity and disaster recovery plans, oversees testing, emergency response and recovery for the organization. Under limited supervision, this job guides the selection of operating strategies for the continuation of business within a recovery time objective. This job also requires technical expertise and specialization to design measures that predict and mitigate the impact of various disruptions and scenarios.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    + Partakes in business recovery, crisis management, contingency planning and disaster-preparedness planning.

    + Provides support and expertise during live emergency events as needed and requested.

    + Conducts, communicates and maintains business continuity lifecycle planning and business impact analysis.

    + Identifies and quantifies the potential impact of various disruptions and disaster scenarios.

    + Coordinates business continuity planning, testing, and evaluation processes within the organization, and reports on compliance and exercise results.

    + Develops, enhances, and disseminates information on continuity processes, standards and initiatives.

    + Supports the development and delivery of training on business continuity for multiple members and groups within the organization.

    + Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + 3 years of experience in a related field

    + Understanding of business continuity or disaster recovery concepts

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 5+ years of experience in a related field

    + Familiarity with Regulatory Requirements for Financial Institutions (OCC, FFIEC)

    + Certification in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery (CBCP, ISO22301 or equivalent)

    + Experience with Archer or similar platform is nice to have

    Educational Requirements

    + University (Degree) Preferred
