Job Summary and Qualifications
As an** **Ultrasound Lead Technologist** **, you'll perform diverse technical procedures, applying independent judgment to conduct examinations using established protocols. Beyond clinical duties, you'll be a key part of departmental leadership, coordinating daily operations, providing professional guidance, and ensuring efficient, client-centered care across the Ultrasound Department (hospital and FSED settings). You will also assist the department director with administrative functions, scheduling, and strategic goal implementation, assuming full onsite responsibility in their absence.
What You Will Do In This Role:
+ Perform a variety of technical procedures that require rational and independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
+ Lead the Ultrasound Department, providing professional leadership and coordinating the delivery of clinical imaging services for patient diagnosis and treatment.
+ Oversee the daily front-line operations of the hospital and FSED Ultrasound Department, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated client-centered care.
+ Assist with select departmental administration functions and in the implementation of departmental and institutional strategic goals.
+ Assist with department operational and staff Paid Time Off (PTO) scheduling.
+ Assist with front-line staffing.
+ Assume onsite responsibility for the ultrasound department(s) in the absence of the director.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
+ ARDMS registry is required.
+ Two years of hospital-based clinical experience is strongly preferred.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent communication, organization, and critical decision-making skills.
+ Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, and all levels of staff within the organization and community.
+ Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
