Job Summary and Qualifications

To administer, analyze and appraise the care given to the bariatric and wound care patients. To advise hospital management regarding the status of patient care, budgetary projections and quality improvement processes. To anticipate and estimate future needs of the department to improve quality of patient care. To foster the growth of the Bariatric Program. To collaborate and coordinate the efforts of the staff to accomplish the mission of Del Sol Medical Center.

+ You will manage the accreditation process ensuring compliance with MBSAQIP standards.

+ You will develop, administer and coordinate services necessary to accomplish objectives set forth for the bariatric patient.

+ You will facilitate a multidisciplinary coordination of services with, nursing, medicine, clinical dieticians and other support departments.

+ You will develop, monitor, appraise and analyze budgetary goals and outcomes within the department.

+ You will administer and appraise Quality Improvement activities within the services provided.

+ You will control processes related to Human Resources inclusive of hiring. evaluating. terminating, counseling, coaching and development of the staff.

+ You will develop, interpret, inspect and review policies and procedures within the services provided.

+ You will develop, institute, review and implement policies, procedures and protocols related to the care or bariatric surgical patients for the organization

+ You will collaborate, develop and participate in marketing of the program. Including educational program development, external advertising and working in conjunction with local and regional programs.

+ You will be responsible for twenty four-hour coverage and problem resolution to the services provided.

+ You will direct and approve the practice of professional nursing and support positions within the services provided to maintain quality patient care through implementation and evaluation of clinical practice standards.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Minimum of Associates Required or in lieu of education 2-5 year’s experience.

+ BSN or Master’s Degree Preferred

+ RN preferred

+ Minimum or one year of management experience preferred.

+ Experience in the care or the Bariatric patient preferred.

+ Marketing experience preferred
