The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic is now hiring for a team-oriented and adaptable part-time Medical Assistant for our clinic located on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus!
Position Summary & Highlights** **:
+ As an MA at the Outpatient Behavioral Health clinic, you will work with closely with a cohesive team in a fast-paced and enjoyable environment.
+ Saint Alphonsus Behavioral Health Center offer a full range of behavioral health services for patients of all ages, from stress management to therapy to intensive inpatient treatment.
+ Through programs that treat patients with dignity and compassion, our patients learn to cope with life's challenges, return joy and serenity to their lives and learn to live again.
+ Outpatient behavioral health services specialize in a comprehensive evaluation and treatment for most emotional and interpersonal problems for adults, adolescents and children, and includes: Individual and group therapy, Professional care from an integrated treatment team including psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions, psychiatry, clinical social work and nursing, and Pharmacological medication management.
+ Conditions treated include mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and abuse, behavioral disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and developmental disorders (Autism, Speech disorders)
What You Will Do** **:
+ You will work with a team of psychiatrists, psychologist, and other clinical support staff.
+ In addition to rooming, taking vital signs, and patient intakes, you will prepare and administer occasional injections, review medication histories, and coordinate the patient flow between providers.
+ You will also complete in-basket tasks, process orders, complete prior authorizations, patient phone calls, and referrals.
+ An ideal candidate will be confident, able to work independently and in a team environment and can be assertive when needed and have strong knowledge of boundaries.
+ You will also be open-minded, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
Work Schedule** **:
+ 33 hours per week, Mondays – Fridays, around the hours of 7:30am – 5:30pm
+ The clinic closes at 3:00pm on Fridays.
+ Hours are subject to change based on provider schedules and clinic needs.

Minimum Requirements** **:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
+ New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.
+ Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed below.
+ MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
+ American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
+ American Medical Technologists (RMA)
+ National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)
+ National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
+ National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
+ American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
+ National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
+ Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
+ *EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details.
