Position Summary
Position Summary
The Department of Public Health Education seeks a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer to contribute to the department’s teaching, curriculum coordination, and academic service. The Lecturer will play a critical role in delivering high-quality instruction to Master of Public Health students, supporting curriculum development, and contributing to student success. This position emphasizes teaching excellence and curriculum management while fostering a learning environment that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and student engagement.
General Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality teaching in the field of public health education and related areas.
• Support curriculum planning, coordination, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure programmatic alignment with accreditation standards and departmental goals.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities as assigned.
Specific Duties:
• Teach face-to-face graduate courses in public health education and related disciplines.
• Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered course materials, assessments, and instructional strategies.
• Maintain office hours and provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
• Employ inclusive teaching practices that reflect diverse perspectives and learning styles.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master of Public Health degree, health education, or closely related field.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the college/university level.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, EdD) in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field.
• Experience with curriculum coordination.
• Experience advising or mentoring students.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and service.

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
