    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    + Maintains inventories, records temperatures, and assists in departmental quality assurance program.

    + Disassembles returned patient trays, cleans and sanitizes equipment, dishes, trays and carts before and/or after each meal. Prepares dishwasher for operation and empties and cleans when finished.

    + Operates dishwasher to ensure thorough cleaning, sanitizing, and drying of dishware, pots and pans, and utensils. Sorts, stacks, and soaks all dishes and flatware in proper containers according to standardized procedures.

    + Keeps all equipment and working area clean and orderly. Maintains tray, china, and silverware supplies in the Dining Center.

    Job Requirements

    Preferred:

    -Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care in a hospital setting and/or 1

     

    year minimum in food service.

     

    -Knowledge equivalent to a high school education.

    Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.

    Pay Range

    $15.67 - $22.14 /hour
