As a **Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol** in **Punta Gorda, FL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter potential issues, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a team that values integrity, agility, and a people-first approach.

What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to clients and visitors at the location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed patrol posts.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, reporting any irregularities to the appropriate authorities.

+ Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in daily reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and client representatives as required.

+ Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or lockdowns, as directed by site-specific procedures.

+ Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.

+ A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required as proof for the client.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
