Basic Job Functions:

+ Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

+ Perform the startup and shutdown procedures for the assigned production line area. Perform changeovers, quickly, efficiently, and safely.

+ Operate, control and monitor machines in the production line area and perform quality checks of the process and product.

+ Perform basic preventative maintenance duties and report any malfunctions or abnormalities with equipment to the maintenance team.

+ Accurate reporting of production time, material usage and various other paperwork/reports involved in the process.

+ Complete data entry using excel spreadsheets

+ Assist with finishing operations as required to maintain workflow.

+ Maintain cleanliness of the assigned production line area

+ Comply with all company policies and procedures

+ Constant use of tape measure, hand tools and safety devices.

+ This is a physically active role which requires lifting and carrying stock up to 50 lbs. Range of motion will include squatting, bending, standing, walking and reaching. 10+ hour shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

+ 1 year experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

+ Machine setup, operation, and process troubleshooting.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Overhead crane experience

+ Forklift operation experience

+ Use of HMIs

+ Understanding of machine setup and tear down.
