Job Description

A remote-first startup is seeking a FullStack Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building scalable integrations, backend systems, and intuitive user experiences. The company is focused on redefining how digital creators and sellers collaborate and grow together, using modern web technologies and automation.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead the development of core systems that power a new kind of digital commerce. The team is looking for a senior-level engineer who can architect integrations, improve system reliability, and drive innovation across the stack. Contract Duration: 3 month contract-to-hire

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in full stack development

• Strong backend experience with Ruby on Rails

• Frontend experience with Tailwind CSS and vanilla JavaScript

• Proven experience building and scaling API integrations

• Ability to lead architectural decisions and roadmap planning

• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments

• Strong communication and mentoring skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with ecommerce platforms and fulfillment systems

• Familiarity with AI-driven workflows or tools

• Data engineering or system monitoring experience

• Interest in creator tools, automation, or digital commerce

What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown

• 50 percent backend development (Ruby on Rails)

• 30 percent frontend development (Tailwind, JavaScript)

• 20 percent integration architecture and system reliability

Daily Responsibilities
