A Paratransit Driver for My Ride is responsible for transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner in the northern suburb area. The routes are in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Maple Grove and Plymouth. This position uses a small bus (No CDL is needed - Valid Class D license required) to successfully transport people, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations are the most important tasks of the driver.

Now Hiring For:

Monday - Friday 10:15AM-7:30PM at $21.00/hour.

Responsibilities:

+ Transport clients to and from destinations.

+ Arrive at destinations on schedule.

+ Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.

+ Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays.

+ Use navigation applications to determine the best route.

+ Always interact with clients professionally.

+ Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.

+ Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.

+ Keep mileage records and repair records up to date.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Must be 23 years old or older.

+ Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

+ Satisfactory Driving Record (no suspension etc.).

+ Ability to pass a background check.

+ Must be comfortable with securing a passenger in a mobility device or assisting a passenger using an assistive walking device (training provided).

+ Familiarity with the Twin Cities metro area.
