    Position Overview

    Working as part of the FujifilmDiosynth(FDB)Operational Excellence function, theDirector, Project Managementwill lead projectdelivery lifecycle management process. The candidatewilldrivekeyorganizational initiativesand largecross-functionalprojectsanddeliver tangible outcomes. TheDirector, Project Managementwill manageseveralprojects(tech and non-tech)leveraging LSS, Agile or similar methods support organizations need of today, while preparing robust foundations for tomorrow.

     

    Additionally, theleaderwillpossessexcellent influencing,communicationand collaborationskillswithdemonstrable experience in driving projectfrom initiation, planning tocompletion,gatheringand aligning business requirements, developing business case, assessingvalue, with the ability toidentify & manageinter-dependencies.

     

    Candidate must be skilled inmeeting engagementexpectations,cross-functional stakeholdersmgmt., andleadproject team to influence and drive behaviors.  The successful candidate will bedata-driven,people management skills to driveoptimalperformance, skill development, and create high-performing teams.

    Job Description

    Essential Functions:

    + Taking directionand aligningwiththeHeadof Operational Excellence,tosupport the delivery of business-criticalprojects

    + Followingthe ways of working to deliver projects on time, on budget and to specification

    + Creatingand deliveringproject work plans andadaptingto meet changing needs

    + Analyzingbusinessneeds, leading toclear and concisebusiness case

    + Developing a critical path/milestonesof key activities, providing planning support andidentifyingand managingdependencies across the plans

    + Developing team skills and creating high-performing teams

    + Engaging stakeholders by sharingtimelyupdates, pivoting to attend to dynamic businessenvironmentandpartnering withtheHead of Operational Excellence to manage risks/escalations

    + Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored. Track and report on project delivery and progress, andidentifyand manage dependencies, risks, and issues

    + Negotiating trade-offs and brokering decisions to addressdynamic situations

    + Managing scopewhilebuilding collaborative and high-performing teams through this change

    Required Skills & Abilities** **:

    The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge,skillsand aptitude:

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade, at all levels within the organization

    + Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

    + Ability to coordinate activities across the project team

    + Ability to effectively prioritize

    + Ability to adjust personal style when dealing with different individuals

    Minimum Qualifications

    + 10-12years’ experience successfully leading Operational Excellence, global projects, or cross-functional and high value projects

    + Experience mentoring project team members

    + Experience of using a wide range of project management tools and techniques consistent with lean, six sigma, and Agile methodologies

    + Willingness to developadditionalskills to support organizational goals

    Preferred qualifications

    + Experience working within a Biotech/Pharma organization.

    + Experience working within a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization

    + Black, or Master Black belt certification

    + Experience delivering training

    + PMP certification

    + Experience with relevant project management software (MS Project,etc)
