Position Title:Postdoctoral Research Associate – Veterinary Medicine

Appointment Type:Post Doc/Trainee

Job Description:

Lead an applied research project focused on animal production and welfare in the beef cattle feed yards. This opportunity will combine science and extension to improve farm performance.

+ Collaborate on meaningful projects related to beef cattle health management and animal welfare

+ Design and carry out field studies, including overnight travel to farms for data collection

+ Create science-based extension materials for farm workers and managers

Required Minimum Qualifications:

+ Ph.D. in Applied Ethology or Animal Welfare Science

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with data analysis

+ Demonstrated experience writing and submitting publications to peer-reviewed journals

+ Demonstrated experience with grant writing
