Position Summary

Rush Pediatrics Patient Service Representative proactively ensures an exceptional experience for patients when greeting, checking in, and checking out during their appointment; answers incoming phone calls, responds to general patient requests, and schedules patient appointments. Verifies insurance information and ensures appointments are scheduled properly.

This position is for 40 hours per week. The office is open 7:45 am - 7:15 pm Mon-Tues, 7:45 am - 5 pm Wed-Fri, and 7:45 am - noon on Saturdays. Requires one shift until 7:15 pm each week and a Saturday morning every 3 weeks. Primary Location is Rush Pediatrics Ridge but will support other Pediatric practices in Aurora and Oswego as needed.

Position Requirements

+ **_Education and Previous Experience_**

+ High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

+ **_Hardware/Software Experience_**

+ Practice management/medical billing computer programs.

+ Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel)

+ **_Other Characteristics_**

+ Excellent oral/written communication skills

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Detailed oriented

+ Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and develop applicable policies and procedures (e.g., regarding collections)

+ Flexible; able to adapt to change

+ Bilingual (Spanish)
