Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
The Product Support Technician will be an integral part of the field service team, responsible for managing and addressing equipment issues. This role involves troubleshooting equipment problems over the phone, and when necessary, providing on-site support to clients. Additionally, the technician will collaborate with the engineering team on various side projects such as hands-on equipment troubleshooting and R&D initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues over the phone.
+ Provide on-site support for complex troubleshooting scenarios.
+ Collaborate with the engineering team on equipment troubleshooting and R&D projects.
+ Support preventive maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
+ Work with farm hands to address equipment issues in the dairy industry.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting.
+ Experience with wiring, preventive maintenance, and equipment support.
+ Ability to repair and understand schematics and PLCs.
+ At least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment.
+ At least 1 year of experience in automation or working with PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree, with a preference for those in dairy sciences or automation.
+ At least 1 year of experience working as a farm hand or in the dairy industry.
Work Environment
The role is based in-office at the facility, with the potential for 1 remote workday as training progresses. The work environment involves direct interaction with both the field service and engineering teams, providing opportunities to advance into the R&D engineering team. The role supports the dairy industry, offering growth in repairing and troubleshooting automated dairy equipment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr.
