Lab Technician
Shift: 2nd shift. Either 12-8:30pm or 2-10:30pm
Job Description
Join our team as a Lab Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting our food lab operations. You will assist with labeling containers, glass washing, and transporting samples. While primarily focused on sample preparation, you may have the opportunity for cross-training based on your performance. This role requires being on your feet throughout the day and demands a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
+ Reduce samples to powder or liquid form for testing using liquid nitrogen.
+ Label and store samples accurately.
+ Ensure strong documentation and adherence to company regulations.
+ Operate a 5lb hammer to grind samples, standing for the majority of the day.
+ Be flexible to work an average of 5 hours of overtime per week as needed.
+ Participate in vessel washing and other specialty tasks as required.
+ Perform data entry tasks, including taking pictures and uploading files a couple of times a month.
+ Wash dishes once a week.
Essential Skills
+ High School diploma with 3-4+ years of repetitive work experience.
+ Attention to detail with strong documentation skills under GLP regulations.
+ Comfortable working independently and reliably.
+ 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Backgrounds in restaurant/cooking (not waitstaff), pharmacy tech, landscaping, delivery driving, or assembly line work are advantageous.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.17 - $20.17/hr.
