    Join our dynamic team as an Embedded Software Test Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and production introduction of new products.     Responsibilities

    + Define and develop test automation to improve efficiency and test coverage.

    + Write manual and automated test procedures for features of low power, high reliability industrial process control devices.

    + Champion other members of the test team to deliver quality products.

    + Collaborate with other teams such as Firmware, Electrical, and Mechanical to facilitate a cohesive group environment.

    + Create and maintain a backlog of all work items within an Agile Environment.

    + Log, track, and investigate defects to determine root cause.

    + Monitor, debug, and enhance automated test infrastructure.

    + Perform project and product documentation in accordance with departmental and company procedures and standards.

    + Read, interpret, and implement engineering and industry standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in C# and working knowledge of C/C++.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar experience.

    + 4+ years of experience in Embedded Development and/or Embedded Test Development.

    + Basic understanding of software test methodologies and automation principles, such as regression test, functional test, unit test, black box test, and white box test.

    + Basic understanding of electrical schematics and circuit analysis.

    + Ability to understand basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems.

    + Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with control systems and/or process control environments.

    + Experience with distributed version control systems like Mercurial or Git.

    + Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) tools like TeamCity.

    + Experience with ARM embedded processor platforms.

    + Knowledge of test equipment such as National Instruments, including data acquisition, analog and digital output cards, relays, and power supplies.

    + Experience with industrial protocols like HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Industrial Ethernet, and Modbus.

    + Experience with Agile Methodologies.

    Work Environment

    This role requires onsite work in Marshalltown, IA. The work environment is collaborative and involves working closely with various teams to achieve common goals. Dress code and specific facility conditions will be discussed upon hiring.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Marshalltown, Iowa.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
