    Job Type: Permanent | Mixed Field Role

    Are you ready to launch a hands-on career in civil infrastructure and land surveying? Our client is hiring a Field Survey & Construction Inspection Technician—a hybrid role offering diverse experience, professional growth, and excellent benefits.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    This role blends 70% field surveying with 30% civil construction inspection, giving you exposure to both disciplines while building toward advanced roles like Crew Chief or Civil Construction Inspector.

    Surveying Responsibilities (70%)

    + Assist with land, boundary, topographic, and construction surveys

    + Operate GPS receivers, total stations, and levels

    + Mark survey points and assist with layout

    + Maintain equipment and record accurate field notes

    + Interpret site plans and perform basic calculations

    + Follow safety protocols on active job sites

    Construction Inspection Duties (30%)

    + Inspect roads, sidewalks, and underground utilities

    + Monitor contractor compliance with plans and regulations

    + Document daily site conditions and activities

    + Communicate with contractors, engineers, and project managers

    + Review plans and report findings

    What You Bring

    + Experience or education in surveying or construction inspection

    + High school diploma or equivalent (geometry/trig/drafting a plus)

    + Ability to work outdoors in all weather and terrain

    + Physically able to lift 50 lbs and walk long distances

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    + Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

    + Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or ArcGIS is a bonus

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.

    This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis,IN.
