Job Title: Environmental Lab Chemist

Job Description

You will ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, and contribute to maintaining laboratory operations. Responsibilities

+ Collect and test compounds and samples in accordance with permit requirements.

+ Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software (WMS/Preview).

+ Assist with QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by the permit.

+ Follow all approved Laboratory SOPs.

+ Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.

+ Assist in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with testing, pipetting, distillation, and data analysis.

+ Proficiency in quality control, chemical handling, and wastewater treatment.

+ Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

+ Ability to perform Ph testing and distillation.

+ Excellent communication and writing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in the sciences with no experience, or an Associate degree in science with some laboratory experience.

+ High School Diploma with at least a year of industry or academic laboratory experience.

+ Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment handling over 100 samples daily.

Work Environment

You will be working with a dedicated and expanding team of 10 technicians, from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. The environment is business casual, requiring close-toed shoes, with PPE provided on-site. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
