Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you will be responsible for the full life-cycle design and development of electronic products across various industries, including medical, consumer, and industrial markets. Your role will involve circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and potentially embedded firmware development. You will work independently or in small teams to execute engineering projects for a variety of clients.
Responsibilities
+ Design and develop electronic products from requirements definition through to testing and integration.
+ Select components, define electronics requirements, and conduct schematic capture and PCB layout.
+ Test and verify design implementations, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
+ Write test plans and conduct failure mode inspection analysis, particularly for medical projects.
+ Work collaboratively with small teams or independently to deliver projects on schedule.
+ Interface with both internal and external customers to manage tasks and expectations.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 7 years of experience in full life-cycle product development.
+ Proficiency in both digital and analog electronics, with a balanced experience in both areas.
+ Experience with microcontrollers and Altium Designer software.
+ Proven track record of working within a team and interfacing with customers.
+ Experience in PCB and PCBA layout, as well as AC/DC systems.
+ Basic knowledge of C programming language.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with wireless communication systems and radios.
+ Embedded firmware experience.
+ Experience in the medical device industry.
+ Prior experience in power supply design.
Work Environment
This role is primarily on-site, requiring collaboration with technicians and software engineers for integration and testing. While there are opportunities for remote work when writing reports, the majority of tasks require hands-on, on-site engagement.
Job Type
This is a Contract position based.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
