Job Description
Join our team as a Superintendent for local federal projects at Oceana, Little Creek, or Naval Station Norfolk. We have recently been awarded 15 projects, ranging from $1M to $10M, all launching simultaneously. We seek candidates with a long-term vision and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent. You will collaborate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and management to determine manpower, materials, and equipment needs. As the Site Superintendent, you will act as the direct liaison with the Government Contracting Official and oversee daily activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality/security standards. Your role will be crucial in keeping the construction schedule and budget on track.
Responsibilities
+ Assist the project manager in planning manpower, materials, and equipment.
+ Serve as the direct liaison with the Government Contracting Official.
+ Direct daily activities of subcontractors and vendors.
+ Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality/security requirements.
+ Maintain construction schedule and budget according to plan.
+ Maximize production and eliminate disruptions and downtime.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years experience as a Superintendent.
+ Experience on DOD projects, including new construction, ground up, and renovations.
+ OSHA 30 certification.
+ First aid and CPR certifications.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
+ Strong communication and writing skills.
+ Organizational and planning skills.
+ Quality control management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Clean driving record (company vehicle provided).
+ Project scheduling expertise.
+ GED or high school diploma required; college degree preferred but not required.
+ Experience with design-build construction.
Work Environment
The role is primarily on-site from 7am to 3:30pm, with overtime available. A company vehicle or vehicle allowance with a gas card is provided. Work involves outdoor activities with periods in a remote or main office. Standard site working attire, including a hard hat, is required. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
