Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer who will be responsible for developing and executing test procedures, conducting electrical testing in compliance with the IEC-6100 series of EMC tests, and debugging hardware and firmware components. The role also involves component selection and requires familiarity with both AC and DC designs, as well as the ability to use schematics and layout tools for debugging purposes. Experience with power supplies and transformers is essential, alongside the assembly of prototypes and engineering tools.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and execute test procedures and plans on electronics.
+ Conduct electrical testing in compliance with IEC-6100 series of EMC tests.
+ Debug hardware and firmware components.
+ Select components and use schematics and layout tools for debugging.
+ Work with power supplies, transformers, and high voltage electronics (120 and 240 VAC).
+ Assemble prototypes and engineering tools.
+ Execute tests in a regulated environment, with UL/Safety products experience preferred.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
+ 4 years of experience in an electronics testing environment.
+ Experience with functional safety testing, such as IEC-6100.
+ Familiarity with agency certifications like UL, TUV, etc.
+ Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and thermal chambers.
+ Exposure to programming languages (C, C++, Python, etc.).
+ Experience with automation tools such as LabView or similar.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with EMC testing and agency certifications.
+ Familiarity with controls and motor loads is a plus.
+ Experience in a regulated testing environment and validation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
