    Job Title: BAS TechnicianJob Description

     

    As a BAS Technician, you will create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface. You will diagnose and repair complex direct digital control system malfunctions, requiring extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and electronic theory, as well as the ability to create and modify program algorithms for multiple systems. Your role will involve communicating with all levels of the contracting chain to declare installation schedules, milestone updates, job progress, commissioning, and closeout/acceptance plans. You will also identify potential field changes, communicate changes to customers and project managers, and assist in cost estimates for change orders. Additionally, you will generate and submit extra work orders for non-contracted work done, analyze problems, and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly. Service repairs, adjustments, and calibration on building systems will be a part of your daily tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Create and modify control algorithms and download source code to controllers.

    + Manage system databases and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface.

    + Diagnose and repair complex direct digital control system malfunctions.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in BACnet Controls Systems and Lonworks.

    + Experience in building automation and controls, HVAC.

    + Diploma and/or 2+ year degree in electronics, computer technology, or a similar field.

    + 3+ years of experience with building automation systems.

    + 3+ years of experience with Lonworks and/or BACnet Controls Systems.

    + Ability to program on automation systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Tridium or Niagara 4.

    + Knowledge of Siemens Talon.

    + Proficiency in electronics, automation systems, and control systems.

    Work Environment

    This role requires local travel primarily within Houston, where you will work independently on client-specific needs and projects. You will be part of a team of over 20 professionals. The company provides a truck for work-related travel. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, primarily 8 am to 5 pm, with availability required for evenings and weekends as needed.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $93600.00 - $135200.00/yr.
