Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a self-directed Manufacturing Engineering Technician who can work autonomously to achieve company goals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment issues to minimize downtime and will recommend effective solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems to minimize downtime and recommend solutions.
+ Recommend solutions to manufacturing engineering and Test & Automation engineering.
+ Utilize basic microcomputer skills to understand the operation and interfacing characteristics of microprocessors, including I/O and interfacing concepts, software interaction, applications, programming languages, and techniques.
+ Execute PLC operations, including basic system configurations, hardware, data manipulation, communications, advanced programming commands, interfacing, troubleshooting, application, and program development.
+ Install, maintain, dismantle, repair, overhaul, and rebuild electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment and components.
+ Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
+ Demonstrate the ability to manage stressful situations, follow company policies and procedures, and remain committed to the task.
+ Assist with hands-on training of manufacturing employees on new products, tooling, equipment, and process revisions.
+ Organize materials, parts, tools, fixtures, and equipment in proper locations.
+ Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work area.
+ Support and promote 5S in the workplace.
+ Deploy and support digital tools throughout the factory.
+ Promote a safety-first culture.
+ Troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based technical problems.
+ Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the current Attendance Policy.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in troubleshooting, schematic reading, and equipment manufacturing.
+ Familiarity with standard recognized troubleshooting practices.
+ Ability to reference National Electrical Codes and read mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, or schematics.
+ Experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of pneumatics and National Electrical Codes (NEC).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2-year degree in electro-mechanical, electronic technology, or equivalent education.
+ Minimum of two years of electromechanical work experience or five-plus years in a related field.
Work Environment
This position requires 100% onsite presence during the swing shift, from 1pm to 9:30pm, with potential overtime. During the training phase, the schedule will be from 6am to 2:30pm for approximately four weeks. Candidates must be flexible to start early or stay late as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
