Job Title: Inspector
Job Description
This role involves inspecting prefield maps and entering data into the GIS/Trimble system. You will be responsible for documenting the construction activities of crews and utilizing field maps to identify power poles and perform data collection. Additionally, you will assist in scheduling work and conduct general inspections outdoors in Minnesota's elements.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect prefield maps and input data into GIS/Trimble system.
+ Overlook documentation of 3-4 crews.
+ Document construction activities of crews.
+ Utilize field maps to identify power poles and perform data collection.
+ Assist in scheduling work.
+ Conduct general inspection outdoors in the elements in Minnesota.
+ Perform visual inspections, sound and bore tests, and internal treatments with a daily completion goal for power poles.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ recent years in a Power/Utility/Fiber field technician or inspection experience.
+ Experience in inspection and power.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Construction oversight experience is a plus.
+ OSHA certification is a plus.
+ Utility inspection or power experience is beneficial.
Work Environment
The work is conducted at a Fiber/Power Project Site located just outside Morton, MN, with the Lower Sioux. The role may involve outdoor inspections in varied weather conditions typical of Minnesota. This position offers opportunities for overtime.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oakdale, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
