• Remote Roadway Engineer

    Actalent (Canton, OH)


    Responsibilities

    + Design roadway projects for ODOT and Local Public Agency (LPA) clients.

    + Create and review project design calculations, quantity takeoffs, specifications, plans, and contract documents.

    + Collaborate within the Transportation Team, assigning responsibilities.

    + Manage project schedules and budgets effectively.

    + Apply ODOT design manual principles to highway design.

    + Utilize OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D software according to client standards.

    + Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinate groups.

    + Travel occasionally to client meetings and site visits, with possible overnight stays (up to 10% of the time).

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + 5-10+ years of experience in roadway/transportation design.

    + Experience working on ODOT and LPA roadway projects.

    + Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

    + EIT or PE license.

    + Experience managing projects for ODOT or LPA clients.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
