    Job Title: Paint Prepper with Forklift

    **Shift:** 5:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable **Paint Prepper** to assist in preparing surfaces for painting in accordance with company standards and client specifications. The Paint Prepper will be responsible for sanding, masking, cleaning, and inspecting surfaces to ensure high-quality paint finishes on parts, vehicles, or equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, filling, or cleaning to remove rust, dirt, grease, or old paint.

    + Mask and tape areas to protect from paint and ensure clean lines.

    + Mix and apply primers or sealers as required.

    + Inspect work areas and parts for quality and completeness before sending them to the paint booth.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, tools, and equipment.

    + Assist painters by moving parts or vehicles into paint booths.

    + Adhere strictly to safety protocols, PPE usage, and environmental guidelines.

    + Record materials used and report supply shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor.

    Requirements:

    + Previous experience in paint preparation, auto body, or industrial painting preferred.

    + Basic understanding of sanding, masking, and surface preparation techniques.

    + Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

    + Strong attention to detail and quality control.

    + Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [X] lbs.

    + Team player with good communication skills.

    + High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

    + Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

    Physical & Working Conditions:

    + Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, dust, and noise—PPE must be worn.

    + Work in varied conditions (hot, cold, humid, or confined spaces).

    + Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manual labor.

    **Pay Details:** $17.00 to $18.00 per hour
