    Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

     

    The quality technician supports production by testing all incoming materials, processes, and outgoing products, as well as conducting environmental testing. This is a 3rd shift weekend position with hours from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with the option to work an additional 4 hours elsewhere in the week.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform bacterial plating and microbiology tests.

    + Conduct pH testing, infrared readings for butter fat and total solids, and titratable acidity tests.

    + Calibrate machines and perform weight checks.

    + Conduct lab tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics of ingredients, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure results meet cGMP/FDA specifications.

    + Perform titrations, use pH meters, micro plating, Epic Charm, and general lab equipment such as scales and microscopes.

    + Assist the R&D team in formulating new products occasionally.

    + Record test results on standard forms and write test reports.

    + Clean and sterilize lab equipment and calibrate instruments.

    + Follow all SOPs and comply with GMP/FDA regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Chemistry, Biology, and Wet Chemistry.

    + Experience in Titration, Quality Control, and GMP.

    + Familiarity with laboratory procedures and microbiology.

    + Ability to record accurate test results and prepare reports.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + B.A. or Associate's degree with labs in Biology or a related field is preferred.

    + High School diploma considered with industry experience in a lab.

    + Aseptic technique is desired but not required.

    + Quick learning ability, strong interpersonal skills, and multitasking capability.

    + Experience in the restaurant industry is beneficial.

    + Ability to taste products; candidates cannot be lactose intolerant.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a lab within a manufacturing environment, requiring adherence to safety and cleanliness standards. The role entails working during the 3rd shift on weekends with opportunities for additional hours during the week.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pacific, Missouri.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.60 - $21.60/hr.
