    Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENTS MANAGER at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: With CAG Chief, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the CAG, ensuring and guiding USTRANSCOM staff in providing strategic engagements, concepts and plans to the Commander that directly impact Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise mission accomplishment. Represents the USTRANSCOM Commander and Command Group to a variety of other DoD offices and agencies as well as external audiences. Advises the Commander and command senior leaders on strategy and strategic messaging. Pursues Commander's objectives through participation in or support for DoD governance, strategy/policy, and planning frameworks Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Providing oversight to the Commander's Action Group (CAG) personnel in planning, administering, evaluating, and improving 4-star sponsored programs, conferences, orientations, distinguished visitor events, and senior-leader engagements. Developing, and applying program strategy, goals, objectives, priorities, plans, programs, policies, procedures and activities. Directing, organizing, and carrying out high-priority engagements, special assignments, studies, and projects personally assigned by the Commander, Deputy Commander, or Commander's Action Group Chief. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
