Job Description
Under limited supervision, the Manufacturing Process Technician performs manufacturing processes according to Standard Operating Procedures. Proficiency in Associate Manufacturing functions is essential, as the role may require performing those duties as well.
Responsibilities
+ Schedule manufacturing operations.
+ Perform initial review of manufacturing procedures and batch records.
+ Train Manufacturing Operators and Associate Manufacturing staff on process theory.
+ Draft and revise complex documents such as Manufacturing Procedures, SOPs, technical reports, validation documents, and investigation reports.
+ Audit critical manufacturing records.
+ Propose corrective actions for quality incidents.
+ Assist in and plan improvement implementations related to routine functions.
+ Collaborate with other departments to implement planned improvements.
+ Identify and propose solutions to complex problems.
+ Perform data analysis, such as SPC and CPV, on critical process parameters.
+ Lead equipment and process operations.
+ May assist with recruiting efforts.
+ May supervise staff.
+ May perform system owner responsibilities, e.g., for process or documentation.
+ Collaborate with Process Development.
+ Support the generation and review of manufacturing procedures and related documentation.
+ Troubleshoot processes and assess performance through process monitoring.
+ Support training activities.
+ Participate in the NC/CAPA process by performing process assessments, contributing to investigations, defining/implementing CAPAs, and reporting on incident trends.
+ Assist in the generation, review, and execution of process validation protocols.
+ Support new product introductions and product lifecycle activities.
+ Initiate and implement Level 1 and Level 2 Change Control records.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical aptitude and technical expertise.
+ Understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes.
+ Ability to exercise independent judgment.
+ Proficiency in statistical and mathematical analysis.
+ Strong technical writing skills.
+ Good knowledge of GMP and the ability to apply regulatory expectations.
+ Effective collaboration and willingness to engage external resources as needed.
+ Understanding of analytical methods relevant to the manufacturing environment.
+ Familiarity with specific manufacturing systems or equipment.
+ Basic project management capabilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ HS Diploma or GED.
+ Prior experience in Manufacturing/Production - GMP preferred.
+ Computer proficiency is preferred.
+ Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
+ Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset.
Work Environment
You will be part of large teams working in GMP Manufacturing areas. The dress code is casual but GMP appropriate attire is required. PPE is provided onsite. The work environment is fast-paced and physically active. Initially, you will work the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday, for the first four months. Thereafter, you will transition to the evening shift, Monday to Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. The facility is brand new, state-of-the-art, and currently undergoing a large expansion.

This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
