    Job Title: BIM Specialist – Plumbing

    Reports To: BIM Manager / Project Manager

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented BIM Specialist with a focus on plumbing systems to join our Virtual Design & Construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models for plumbing installations across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. You’ll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure accurate coordination, clash detection, and constructability of plumbing systems within the broader MEP scope.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Create and maintain detailed 3D plumbing models using Revit and Navisworks.

    + Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to ensure full coordination of plumbing systems.

    + Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts using Navisworks Manage or similar tools.

    + Generate plumbing layout drawings, spool sheets, and fabrication-ready documentation.

    + Support field teams with model-based installation guidance and updates.

    + Assist in the development of BIM execution plans and project-specific modeling standards.

    + Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input on plumbing design and constructability.

    + Integrate manufacturer content and specifications into models for accuracy.

    + Maintain model version control and ensure alignment with project schedules and milestones.

    + Provide support for laser scanning, point cloud integration, and as-built modeling when applicable.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    + Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.

    + Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and construction practices.

    + Experience in MEP coordination, especially plumbing layouts and riser diagrams.

    + Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schematics, and specifications.

    + Familiarity with BIM workflows, clash detection, and model-based collaboration.

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    + Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 2+ years of experience in BIM modeling for plumbing or MEP systems.

    + Experience working on data centers, healthcare, or other complex building types.

    + Knowledge of fabrication processes and prefabrication modeling.

    + Familiarity with AutoCAD MEP, Trimble SysQue, or similar tools.

    + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr.
