    _Join CRST’s Asset-Light (Flatbed) Division as an Agent Development Director and lead the expansion of one of the most dynamic agent networks in transportation. If you’re a strategic recruiter, influential leader, and trusted industry partner ready to scale business through high-impact relationships, this is your next big opportunity._

    How You’ll Work

    **Location** : Remote, but candidates must be based in the **Southeast (Birmingham, Atlanta, Jacksonville, or Nashville)** or the **Midwest (Chicago, Detroit, or Indianapolis)** regions.

    **Travel** : 25-50%

    **Compensation** : $107,000-$160,500 per year. A final offer amount is dependent on factors including prior relevant experience, knowledge, and location.

    **Bonuses/Commission** : Eligible for performance-based commission.

    CRST’s Asset-Light (Flatbed) Division is a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial unit within one of the nation’s leading transportation companies. We specialize in flatbed, dry van, and brokerage solutions, offering unmatched flexibility, speed, and service. Our model empowers employees to drive real impact—without the overhead of assets. We’re building a best-in-class team to expand our brokerage footprint in the Southeastern U.S. and deliver strategic growth in high-potential lanes and modes.

     

    As the Agent Development Director, you’ll set the strategy and lead initiatives to grow CRST’s network of agents and fleet owners. You’ll identify high-potential markets, recruit and onboard new partners, and strengthen relationships that drive long-term profitability and retention. This role requires both vision and execution—a leader who can influence outcomes, develop strategy, and drive measurable results across the agent network.

    What You’ll Do

    + Identify and recruit qualified agents and fleet owners to expand CRST’s Flatbed Solutions network

    + Build and manage a pipeline aligned with strategic growth goals and market demand

    + Partner with leadership to target key markets, strengthen capacity, and fill network gaps

    + Oversee onboarding timelines and documentation to ensure accuracy and speed

    + Monitor agent performance through the first year and provide ongoing support to improve results

    + Stay current on capacity trends, competitor networks, and market shifts to refine sourcing strategies

    + Collaborate with operations, safety, and admin teams to ensure smooth agent launches and long-term success

    Qualifications

    Required

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Recent agent-facing experience (within the last 12 months)

    + 3+ years of experience in transportation recruiting, onboarding, or sales

    + Strong CRM and digital tool proficiency

    + Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

    Preferred

    + A four-year degree or applicable work experience with demonstrated success

    + Leadership experience developing or managing agent programs

    + Experience across flatbed, van, or multi-mode carrier networks

    + Proven success expanding capacity and improving retention in an agent-based model

    + Self-starter with strong influence, initiative, and follow-through
