Job Description

Perform high-quality welding tasks to produce durable, reliable products. Read and interpret measurements using a standard tape measure. Execute basic math calculations for accurate fabrication. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards. Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and adapt to company processes. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct welding tasks with precision to ensure the quality and durability of products.

+ Accurately read and interpret measurements using a standard tape measure.

+ Perform basic math calculations necessary for precise fabrication.

+ Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and uphold quality standards.

+ Engage in on-the-job training to improve skills and adapt to company procedures.

+ Ensure safety and efficiency in a manufacturing work environment.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in welding and the ability to pass a welding test.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with mechanical systems and tools.

+ Competency in reading a standard tape measure and performing basic math calculations.

+ Ability to read and write effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in MIG welding and welding on steel products.

+ Familiarity with blueprints, fabrication, TIG welding, flux core welding, and structure grinding.

+ Experience with aluminum welding is preferred.

+ Completion of welding classes or prior welding experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a metal manufacturing facility that is non-temperature controlled and features moderate to loud noise levels. Shifts include 1st Shift 6am-4pm (M-R), 2nd Shift 3:30pm-11:30pm (M-R), Weekend Shift 6am-6pm (F, S, S), and Early Bird Shift 3:30am-12pm (M-F). We prioritize practical, clean facilities and value long-term relationships with team members and customers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.33 - $21.83/hr.
