Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team in a challenging and rewarding environment. This role requires a hands-on individual who is ready to take on various tasks in our manufacturing plant, ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

+ Set up raw materials along the production line.

+ Operate both Palletizers and Shingle wrapper.

+ Use stretch wrappers for all pallets and operate banding equipment.

+ Operate powered industrial vehicles, including forklifts, mules, sweepers, and scrubbers.

+ Load and stack rewraps efficiently.

+ Maintain and troubleshoot the shingle machine, and clear jams promptly.

+ Inspect the quality of finished products consistently.

+ Build and organize pallets effectively.

+ Clean and maintain manufacturing equipment and production areas.

+ Assist other areas as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.

+ Ability to work with basic hand tools.

+ Experience working 12-hour shifts.

+ Physical labor capability to stand, walk, and lift products for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as an assembler or machine operator is preferred.

+ Mechanical inclination and familiarity with general production processes.

Work Environment

Our work environment involves rotating 12-hour shifts every two weeks, with both day and night shifts. The schedule follows a 2,2,3 pattern, requiring work every other weekend. The industrial environment is heavy-duty, requiring standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for extended periods. The facility can be loud and temperature-controlled by the external weather, which can be extremely hot or cold. The role involves repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling of products.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.90 - $21.90/hr.
