Description

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. This position is within the manufacturing industry and offers a Contract to permanent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual seeking career growth. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Manage sales tax calculations and filings, addressing any discrepancies promptly.

• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

• Generate ad hoc financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and reports.

• Coordinate and support financial audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are complete.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in corporate tax, including preparation and filing of returns.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

• Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Ability to generate accurate financial reports and conduct detailed analyses.

• Experience with financial audits and compliance requirements.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
