Job Title: Receiving Associate

Job Description

Candidates will begin their journey in the Shipping department for 2-3 days to gain a comprehensive understanding of daily operations. Following this initial training, they will transition into their designated roles, which may include Saw Operating, General Labor, Shipping, or Forklift Operating.

Responsibilities

+ Pull material to place on the saw.

+ Work effectively in a team environment.

+ Read and interpret tape measures.

+ Perform simple mathematical calculations.

+ Lift up to 50 lbs consistently.

+ Receive training and certification on a forklift.

+ Maintain a high level of work ethic in a hands-on job.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with forklift operation.

+ Proficiency in mathematics.

+ Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

+ Experience with inventory management.

+ Familiarity with ERP systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior manufacturing experience.

+ Experience in material handling.

+ Proficiency with measuring tools such as tape measures, mics, and cals.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and well-lit, offering a supportive team culture where employees are valued from day one. Expect to be on your feet for 8 hours a day, with a significant amount of lifting and repetitive tasks. The busiest time is from 2-5:30 PM, coinciding with the departure of shipments. The first shift offers flexible start times: 6 AM to 2:30 PM, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, and 9:30 AM to 6 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
