    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to blueprint specifications. This role requires expertise in vertical 3, 4, and 5 axis machining, as well as proficiency in G & M code programming.

    Responsibilities

    + Program CNC machines using Mastercam with assistance from the lead CNC machinist.

    + Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers.

    + Load materials into CNC machines, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.

    + Inspect fabricated parts using calipers, micrometers, and other quality-approved gauging devices to ensure they meet specifications.

    + Notify the supervisor immediately of any deviations in part specifications or safety issues.

    + Document production issues to communicate effectively with the team.

    + Plan stock inventory by anticipating needs and verifying receipt of stock.

    + Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

    + Work safely at all times and listen for any sounds indicating a malfunction.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of prior experience operating CNC machines.

    + 1+ year of programming experience.

    + G & M code knowledge.

    + Proficiency in using gauging equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

    + Ability to communicate issues and problems effectively.

    + Enjoyment of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    + Commitment to continuous improvement principles.

    + Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills.

    + Capable of work requiring concentration and physical effort.

    + Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 pounds.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with larger parts, starting around 500 lbs.

    + Familiarity with job shop type work as opposed to production work.

    + Team player attitude and self-motivation.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $80000.00/yr.
