Job Title: 2nd shift Assembler
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Assembler on the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with potential to extend to 11:30 PM. Begin with training on the 1st shift. This role involves assembling subcomponents and finished products, utilizing basic product and process knowledge.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble and fit metal products using hand tools and power tools.
+ Operate hand and power tools, as well as an overhead crane, to build units
+ Work in a fast-paced production and assembly environment.
+ Lift 60lbs+ to assemble products.
+ Collaborate with a team member to fulfill daily product orders.
+ Engage in physical activities such as lifting, climbing, standing, and extending arms for long periods.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in assembling using power tools and hand tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret assembly diagrams and blueprints.
+ Experience operating an overhead crane.
+ Familiarity with assembly schematics and tape measures.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required upon conversion to permanent status (company offers a GED program).
+ Physical ability to lift 50lbs+ (40lbs+ independently).
+ Capability to regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended durations.
+ Skill in using hands to operate hand and power tools.

Work Environment
The work environment features a clean, organized, and spacious manufacturing floor where all sections are clearly labeled based on materials and production. The first shift operates from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with an option to work until 4:30 PM. The second shift runs from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday shifts from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr.
