Aetna Medicare Product Tools & Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to join our exciting team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and managing large-scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows to address complex problems and support business applications in support of Aetna's Medicare business. As part of your position, you will be leveraging AI tools as well. You will have the opportunity to explore cutting edge technology. You will work closely with other developers, BA's, and QA testers to design and develop solutions that will scale our products, streamline our processes, and empower the business.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs
+ Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing that improve existing systems and expand capabilities
+ Collaborate with development team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes
+ Test and maintain systems and troubleshoot malfunctions; leverage knowledge of Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and designing and optimizing queries to build data pipelines
+ Utilize programming skills in Python, Java, SQL or similar languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
+ Build data marts and data models to support developers and other internal customers
+ Integrate data from a variety of sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards; analyze current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions to complex business problems
+ Experiment with available tools and advise on new tools to provide optimal solutions that meet the requirements dictated by the model/use case
+ Utilize analytics expertise to collaborate with key leaders in identifying new use cases that align with company goals
+ Convert SSRS Reports to Power Bi, creating new reports
+ Promote knowledge sharing and provide input on the technology stack
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of data analysis for health care industry, products, or systems
+ 5+ years of Zero copy, Advance Power BI, Databricks, Python , SSRS & SSIS, Hadoop and Hive, MicroStrategy or Tableau experience
+ 5+ years of experience with traditional relational data warehouse technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, or DB2
+ 5+ years of GPU or CPI Infrastructure component experience
+ 5+ years of designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases
+ 3+ years of knowledge of cloud based and on-prem data warehousing services
+ 2+ years of providing domain support for healthcare organizations
+ 2+ years working in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Preferred Qualifications
+ Firsthand experience in building models to generate predictive and prescriptive insights
+ Familiarity with the common Python libraries used in machine learning projects
+ Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Snowflake) including querying/mining large datasets and deploying projects on cloud systems
+ Familiarity with working in an Agile framework
+ Experience with Medicare or other highly regulated businesses
Education
+ Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or relevant professional experience

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
