    Job Title: Plasma Burn Table Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Plasma Burn Table Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a CNC Plasma Burn Table and may also be required to operate other machines as needed. You will run CNC programs administered by the programmer, with the ability to make minor edits and adjustments based on product requirements. You will work with Plasma Systems using Steel Solutions software.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the CNC Plasma Burn Table and other machines as needed.

    + Run nesting programs administered by the CNC Programmer.

    + Make small adjustments to reduce raw material accumulation based on plate size.

    + Inspect parts against issued drawings for accuracy and determine necessary cutting adjustments.

    + Verify proper material loading and ensure all parts are cut according to drawing specifications.

    + Maintain dimensions and perforation of shapes.

    + Complete work sheets legibly and properly.

    + Label all shapes cut from plate steel with relevant information such as Sales Order Number, Part Number, Quantity, and Heat Number.

    + Use an overhead crane to load plates onto the plasma table.

    + Receive and stock consumables.

    + Maintain all equipment in proper working condition and report any issues to the shop supervisor immediately.

    + Follow all safety and quality procedures at all times.

    + Complete additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    + At least 3 years of experience with Plasma Burn tables.

    + Ability to set up the machine and perform minor program edits.

    + Experience with Steel Solutions software is a plus.

    + Willingness to operate other cutting machines as needed.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with burn tables, burners, machine operating, and plasma torches.

    + Forklift experience preferred but not required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
