Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This position is for a Maintenance Technician working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
Responsibilities
+ Respond to repair requests for production machinery and building equipment across all facility areas.
+ Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs to ensure machinery is in satisfactory working condition.
+ Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints, and both written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
+ Perform moderate to complex adjustments, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment including bagging machines, conveyors, case erectors, kitchen, and utility equipment.
+ Rebuild gearboxes, motors, and small pneumatic equipment as needed.
+ Analyze existing problems and contribute to innovative solutions.
+ Unload powdered and liquid raw materials from rail cars as required.
+ Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on plant process and utility equipment, including lubrication, filter replacement, and equipment inspection.
+ Assist with equipment installations and upgrades.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems.
+ Experience with mechanical and electrical systems, including PLC troubleshooting, industrial maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of 3-phase motors, variable frequency drives, and controls.
+ Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
+ Capability to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and safely lift up to 70 pounds.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
+ Strong electrical maintenance skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Vocational training or AA/AS degree is advantageous.
+ Familiarity with A-B control platform, vertical bagging, and scale equipment is a plus.
+ Industrial maintenance experience preferred; food industry or confections experience is beneficial.
+ Open to trade school graduates or entry-level candidates.

Work Environment
The work environment is clean, though it can become warm and slightly loud at times. There are about 60 employees at the Bensenville site and approximately 60 employees at EGV. The atmosphere is overall comfortable and conducive to productivity.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.13/hr.
