Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. This role involves working on welding tasks, mechanical troubleshooting, and ensuring the optimal functioning of plant equipment. The position requires experience in welding and fabrication, as well as troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
+ Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components.
+ Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit.
+ Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment and assist in rebuilding related equipment.
+ Assist in the installation of new plant equipment.
+ Maintain production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to ensure the safe and timely manufacture of quality coatings.
+ Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment.
+ Conduct maintenance for programmable logic controller based equipment.
+ Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure operation of all equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
+ Support site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a workplace that is clean and safe.
+ Participate in the completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in welding and fabrication, specifically stick and wirefeed.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting skills, particularly with hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Experience in equipment maintenance, repair, and fabrication.
+ Ability to operate hand tools and perform forklift and engine repairs.
+ Competence in reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2-4+ years of professional maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems.
+ Basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members.
+ Willingness to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment
Work in an industrial manufacturing environment that is open to the current weather conditions. The position is for the day shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WILSONVILLE, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
