Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure timely and accurate submissions.

• Handle sales tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain the accuracy of financial accounts.

• Manage the general ledger and ensure proper categorization of transactions.

• Perform bank account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial processes align with organizational goals.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making processes.

• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely reporting.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations. Requirements

• Proven experience in preparing corporate tax returns and managing tax compliance.

• Strong knowledge of sales tax processes and regulations.

• Proficiency in recording journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

• Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and support decision-making.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
