Job Title: Filler Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Filler Operator to join our team, working from 4pm to 4am on a 2/2/3 schedule. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our filling and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Operate the filling and packaging equipment, including performing daily and weekly preventative maintenance.

+ Make minor mechanical repairs and replace defective parts when necessary.

+ Set up machines by feeding containers onto the conveyor line and entering product details into computer systems.

+ Conduct quality audits to ensure products meet maximum and minimum fill line standards.

+ Assist in packing and production tasks at the end of each line as required.

+ Stop machines for clean in place (CIP) procedures, which may involve getting wet.

+ Maintain compliance with all GMP and HACCP/FDA regulations, and complete daily production records and quality reports.

+ Assist in training production assistants on GMP and safety rules.

Essential Skills

+ Experience as a Machine Operator, Packaging Operator, or Filler Operator.

+ Knowledge of processing machines in a food manufacturing environment.

+ Familiarity with GMP and HACCP regulations.

+ Ability to work efficiently on a production line using hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Candidates with hand tool experience, a strong work history, and attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

+ Prior experience in food manufacturing or machine operating is highly valued.

Work Environment

This position is located in the loudest part of the facility, where hearing protection is required. The area is warm during summer due to machinery and has strong aromas of sauce-based food products. Training schedules are flexible, accommodating various shifts, with orientation held every Tuesday. The role requires adaptability to a dynamic and bustling production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.48 - $22.48/hr.
