Job Title: Journeyman Plumber

Job Description

As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in both new construction and retrofit projects throughout West Michigan. Your expertise will ensure the proper functioning of plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

+ Install and repair piping systems, fixtures, valves, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings.

+ Interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to ensure proper installation.

+ Perform soldering, brazing, threading, and pipefitting using copper, PVC, CPVC, and cast iron.

+ Collaborate with HVAC, electrical, and general contractors on job sites.

+ Conduct pressure tests, backflow prevention, and system diagnostics.

+ Maintain accurate records of materials, time, and job progress.

+ Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards at all times.

Essential Skills

+ Journeyman Card for the State of Michigan

+ 4+ years of new construction plumbing/pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial settings

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Backflow License

+ Experience in troubleshooting, blueprint interpretation, repair, and installation

+ Comfortable with various plumbing materials

Work Environment

The role involves working in new construction and service environments across commercial, industrial, institutional, agricultural, and food service settings. Projects are located around the Grand Rapids, MI area, including Holland, Muskegon, Greenville, and Kalamazoo. Work may be performed independently, in group settings, or involve training apprentices. This position operates on a 1st shift schedule. Personal protective equipment such as boots, hard hats, and safety glasses are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
