Packaging Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift
Job Description
This position is essential in the production of high-quality sweet potato chips fried in avocado oil, free from the top 9 most common allergens. As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for managing and operating high-speed packaging machines, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation, and overseeing operations such as Alpma machines and brine systems. You will also perform minor troubleshooting and determine when maintenance needs to be called.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate high-speed packaging machines to produce chip bags.
+ Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.
+ Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.
+ Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and management.
+ Perform minor troubleshooting to identify machine stops or jams.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience in machine operation.
+ Experience with high-speed manufacturing.
+ Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
+ Proficiency in operating filling and packaging machines.
+ Basic troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with adjusting feeds and speeds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years of experience with change over procedures.
+ Experience in a production environment is preferred.

Work Environment
Work on the 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. Enjoy a clean and temperature-controlled facility that smells like French fries. Adhere to GMP standards, which include wearing a hair net, beard net, smocks, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes.

Responsabilidades
+ Configurar y operar máquinas de empaque de alta velocidad para producir bolsas de chips.
+ Manejar y operar maquinaria específica en la línea de producción.
+ Seguir todos los procedimientos de seguridad, sanidad y producción.
+ Asegurar el registro preciso de datos y el control de calidad.
+ Comunicarte eficazmente con los miembros del equipo y la gerencia.
+ Realizar solución de problemas menores para identificar paradas o atascos en las máquinas.
Habilidades Esenciales
+ Más de 2 años de experiencia en operación de maquinaria.
+ Experiencia en manufactura de alta velocidad.
+ Conocimiento de BPM (Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura).
+ Dominio en el manejo de máquinas de llenado y empaque.
+ Habilidades básicas de solución de problemas.
+ Experiencia ajustando alimentación y velocidad de las máquinas.
Habilidades y Calificaciones Adicionales
+ Más de 2 años de experiencia en procedimientos de cambio de línea.
+ Se prefiere experiencia en un entorno de producción.

Ambiente de Trabajo
Trabaja en el segundo turno de 2:00 PM a 10:30 PM, de lunes a viernes, con horas extra ocasionales los viernes. Disfruta de una instalación limpia y con temperatura controlada que huele a papas fritas. Cumple con los estándares BPM, que incluyen el uso de redecilla para el cabello, red para barba, bata, casco y zapatos con punta de acero.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr.
