Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Forklift Operator where you will play a crucial role in handling large piping pieces for industrial applications. You will be responsible for pulling orders and preparing them for shipment using an RF scanner. This position primarily involves working on the loading dock, lifting materials, and operating battery-powered sit-down forklifts at our new location.

Responsibilities

+ Operate sit-down forklifts to move and palletize materials.

+ Lift and shrink-wrap materials onto pallets.

+ Prepare and ship large piping products via RF scanner.

+ Restock warehouse and pull parts manually for UPS/FedEx packages, handling 20-35 orders per day.

+ Assist customers who pick up parts and perform cleaning duties as necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience in a warehouse environment with a focus on production.

+ 3+ years of experience with forklift operation and order pulling.

+ Proficient in using RF scanners and computer skills.

+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs and manage heavy metal piping pieces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with material handling, inventory control, and shrink wrapping.

+ 3+ years of experience loading trucks via forklifts.

+ Proficiency in using pallet jacks and packaging materials.

Work Environment

Work in a bright and well-lit warehouse without AC but equipped with large fans. The facility currently has roughly 14 employees and operates from 4pm-12am. Training will be provided on the second shift, where maturity in work performance is highly valued.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
