Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Cincinnati Brake Press machines, working with materials such as stainless steel and cold rolled steel. Your role involves preparing and executing complex bend setups and forming operations, including custom punch/die tooling in combination with standard tooling. You will also engage in complex programming using all features of the press brake, such as bending at angles, offset bends, and proper back gauge transfer between steps. Additionally, you will perform mathematical calculations and measure part dimensions using various instruments like calipers, protractors, and micrometers, ensuring precise inspection of parts and critical dimensions.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate Cincinnati Brake Press machines.

+ Prepare and run complex bend setups and forming operations.

+ Perform complex programming using all press brake features.

+ Measure part dimensions using instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

+ Inspect parts and measure critical dimensions.

+ Meet production rates and fill out inspection paperwork.

+ Maintain calibrated tools.

+ Stand and work in various positions for several hours.

+ Lift up to 50lbs.

+ Identify areas for process improvement, cost, and waste reduction.

+ Work safely following safety procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in press brake operation and setup.

+ Experience with CNC machines and machine setup.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and tooling.

+ Strong mathematical skills.

+ Experience with inspection tools and measurement techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in metal fabrication and metal stamping.

+ Familiarity with machine operation, including turret, lathe, and CNC mill.

+ Ability to perform mechanical tasks related to fabrication and tooling.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
