CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist for a 2nd shift position, working from 4 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Friday. This role involves operating CNC Machines, including Mills, with occasional support on a small Boring Mill. You will receive daily assignments from the 2nd shift supervisor and work on diverse parts for various automotive machines. Collaboration with the team for material management is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Operate CNC machines, including Mills, on the 2nd shift.

+ Support operations on a small Boring Mill as needed.

+ Receive and execute daily job assignments from the 2nd shift supervisor.

+ Run jobs that vary in duration from a few hours to several days.

+ Work on different parts for four distinct automotive machines.

+ Collaborate with team members to manage and obtain necessary materials.

Essential Skills

+ 5 years of experience in CNC machining on Mills.

+ 5 years of experience in CNC machine setup.

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Visi programming.

Work Environment

Work in a well-equipped facility during the 2nd shift from 4 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Friday. The environment fosters teamwork and collaboration, with a focus on precision and quality. Dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on work setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
